Cosbity Monocular Telescopes Review
Cosbity Monocular Telescopes: QUICK OVERVIEW
What We Like
What We Don't Like
Binoculars are usually straightforward devices. They let you zoom in on objects far away to get a better sense of what’s there. The problem is that it can be hard to find an all-around pair to use at any time of day and any type of weather conditions.
Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s impossible. The pair of binoculars we’re about to review is suitable for use during the day and during the night. They excel in the hands of photographers and cost very little for what they can help you achieve.
Cosbity Monocular Telescopes Review
This is one of the most popular choices in binoculars for sports fans, hunters, birdwatchers, amateur photographers, and anyone else with an interest in capturing stills or videos of amazing scenery and wildlife, day and night.
Who is this product for?
These Cosbity night vision binoculars are quite versatile. They’re useful for hunting applications for the most part, but they may just interest you more if you’re an avid birdwatcher.
The binoculars are all about capturing your adventures in great detail, thus they’re one of the best choices if you must keep a record of all your nighttime observations. You may also enjoy them if you just want to take quality photos or recordings from afar during the day.
Because of their price tag, you may also be interested in them if you don’t want to spend a great deal of money on a pair of binoculars but still need plenty of accessories to take photos in the dark.
If you decide to buy this gadget, you won’t just get a pair of binoculars with night vision capabilities. Here is everything that comes in the box:
- Cleaning cloth
- Neck strap
- Carry bag
- Cell phone quick photography mount
- Wireless camera shutter remote control
Overview of features
Although its category is night vision gadgets, these binoculars tend to shine more during the day. The 12x magnification is powerful enough for this price range and allows you to make quality recordings on your smartphone from up to 300 yards away.
With a field of view of 307 ft. at 1,000 yards, you can take great landscape photos. But the wide field of view is not the highlight of these binoculars. The ease of use is probably the major selling point. Because of the rather compact design and great user interface, the binoculars can be operated with just one hand.
The binoculars can help you capture sporting events, landscapes, interesting architecture, and pretty much anything else worth capturing on camera. The casing is plastic and pretty solid at that. The binoculars are water resistant and can absorb a bit of shock too.
The 42 mm objective lenses let in plenty of light. But, just how great are they during the night? Let’s just say good enough, as long as you’re not trying to use them in total darkness.
The Porro prism array is mostly designed for daytime applications, which is why the night vision capabilities of these binoculars are not high-end. Still, when paired with an infrared torch, suddenly you’re able to capture a lot more detail even at distances of up to 200 yards.
Because they also come with an adjustable strap and can be attached to a tripod stand, they’re not hard to convert into an above average spotter for nighttime bird watching or hunting.
How to use
If you want to use a tripod to scout at night or take the perfect photo in daytime, you can find the tripod interface between the tubes. When you want to take high-quality photos or record videos, use the right eyepiece to capture the most vivid colors. The right eyepiece has a focus ring which is essential when pairing the binoculars with a camera.
All the adjustments can be made with your right hand whether you’re using a stand or walking. That’s because only the right eyepiece has a focus wheel and because your smartphone can be attached to the binoculars.
The Cosbity binoculars are quite popular and for good reason. They’re well-balanced in terms of durability, image quality, and pricing. The fact that you also get some extra accessories only makes it an even sweeter deal. However, these binoculars may still be out of the price range for some people. If you don’t need extra trinkets and smartphone or camera pairing, then there is a cheaper solution.
Try out the Occer 12×25 Compact Binoculars. They’re just as easy to operate and durable, but also much also much more compact, lighter, and cheaper (due to the small 25 mm objective lenses). They come with no camera attachments, but the much smaller lenses still offer a field of view of 273ft at 1000 yards. Both devices offer the same 12x magnification but the Occer allows you to adjust the focus for both eyepieces.
If you’re looking for a proper pair of night vision binoculars with all the designations, these may not be the ultimate choice. However, they do have a reasonable price tag and the ability to operate both night and day. At night, you can get a quality picture with minimal grain up to 100 yards out.
The daytime performance is even better as the binoculars have a field of view of 307 ft. at 1,000 yards and the potential to turn your smartphone camera into a moneymaker.
